Meet Madeleine, a proudly weird San Francisco Bay Area native who brings lived experience and hard-earned wisdom to her evaluation practice. After navigating childhood poverty and conquering alcoholism at 28 (sober high-fives welcome!), she channeled her resilience into a mission to help organizations create meaningful change.
Armed with an MPA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS), Madeleine has learned firsthand how data, strategy, and mentorship can drive social transformation. Her time in nonprofits and consulting firms has focused on poverty alleviation and education—because sometimes the best teachers are the ones who've sat on both sides of the table.
Today, she's on a mission to democratize evaluation skills, making data-driven decision-making accessible to organizations of all sizes. When she's not teaching others how to measure impact, you'll find her celebrating the weird and wonderful, proving that the best insights often come from embracing our authentic selves.
She believes that good evaluation, like recovery, is about honesty, courage, and the willingness to look at reality with clear eyes—while maintaining a sense of humor about it all.
